Hi Colleen, Thanks for this account of the ingenious methods of marine salvage pioneered by Captain William Coppin (1805-1895)!ColleenMc wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2021, 10:19 amHere's my entry for this collection:

Yes, when the article author hinted that Coppin should one day write a book about his ventures, I got my hopes up and went looking for one at Internet Archive and PG, alas, nothing under his name at either site!Sue Anderson wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2021, 1:06 pmHi Colleen, Thanks for this account of the ingenious methods of marine salvage pioneered by Captain William Coppin (1805-1895)!ColleenMc wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2021, 10:19 amHere's my entry for this collection:

Your recording is PL OK! The most startling thing, to me, about Darrow's analysis of homicide was his blunt assertion "If men lived by reason the race would not survive."
One thing for future submissions, please be sure to give us the URL for your source in your post. The way to list a Gutenberg source is given in #4 in the instructions at top of the page. For Darrow, this is the URL: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/12027/12027-h/12027-h.htm
Thanks for your contribution to volume 079!

Hi Colleen, Thanks for this most interesting account of the salvage of the Alphita!

I'm your PL'er for this recording. All is fine, except for one minor issue of pronunciation at 1:42 (Court of Admiralty). The pronunciation of the word "admiralty" should derive from the word "admiral." To me, it sounded like you said "ad-mir-ality." https://www.google.com/search?q=admiralty&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS871US871&oq=admiralty&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60l3.2585j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
I think you might like to fix this.
