Hi, :D

Please can I read:

Hagar -26

The Last Furrow -30

and ... Adam Asleep - 38
Thank you for your interest in this project.

We do, however, request that our new readers first complete a one-minute test recording to check out all of your technical specifications and any reading issues.

From the instructions for this, and all, projects under Point 2

New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!

Among the useful information there you will find instructions for completing your test recording. Once you have the "OK" on that post again here with your request and also let us know how you would like to be credited in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname. I'll go ahead and assign these to you, but when you have the "OK" on your test recording, please post here again with the above information.

Let me know if you have any questions are need help.

Hello. I have noticed that there are 3 sections left open:10, 14 and 24. Can I try to read them?

Well, that would be just fine!

And that makes this project fully subscribed. :)

I'd love to claim Larkspur if it's free?

Lou
I have put you in for Section 12 (best to include section number when claiming)
Thank you for joining this project.
Great job with this poem! Just one small note: At the beginning, you started with Larkspur, read by Maria Letitia Stockett, read for LibriVox.org" by [your name].
Maria Letitia Stockett is the author, not the reader (that's you!) so you should cut the extra read! :D

the third is 01:25
https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/hoofsofpegasus_24_stockett_128kb.mp3
Just a couple of technical changes:
The volume for all three of these is two low. Librivox would like the volume to be between 86dB and 92dB with the sweet spot at 89dB.
Section 10 is 77.6 dB, section 14 is 77.3 dB, and section 24 is 78.9 dB. In audacity, there is an amplify tool under the effects that can be used to increase the volume (you don't have to rerecord).
Also, the checker app is helpful to be able to check what the volume of the recording is. This page on the Librivox wiki talks about Checker. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

The other thing is I can hear a slight buzzing in the background throughout the whole recording. It isn't awful right now, however, amplifying the recording will also amplify the noise. There is an easy way to reduce the background noise with the noise reduction tool under the effects in audacity. The easiest way is to select the 5 seconds of silence at the end and click "Get noise profile", then select the whole recording and run noise reduction.

Great job with reading the poems, no issues there! :D
