Well, we all know that the world is full of strange people and places. Foreigners? Scary! (Especially just after a world war.}

Yes, of course! That would be great! There is one version in this collection, so yours would go in the next collection, which shouldn't be long now. You can use the Gutenberg e-text
http://www.gutenberg.org/files/2148/2148-h/2148-h.htm#chap2.15
Thanks!

Hello, again Rapunzelina! I got inspired by Guy de Maupassant and had to record another of his. Such stoic and interesting writings. So, here is another submission for this horror collection:

He?, by Guy de Maupassant
https://archive.org/stream/completeshortsto1903maup#page/816/mode/2up
The length of my recording is 24:25
I hope submitting two back-to-back is ok :D :D
Thank you for your second Maupassant Devin - beautifully read once again.
This is PL ok.

Thanks again Dale - loved this, I found it poignant rather than horrific, but definitely atmospheric!
It's a little quiet though at 85.3 so have marked as PL notes.

Rapunzelina - I'll PL Colleen's later in the week but a heads up that the 3 is missing off the end of the URL in the magic window. I can still get to the file, so as long as it doesn't mess anything else up no need to change, but thought I'd best let you know!

Hi:

Spiced up the volume and reloaded:

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor046_dernieremobilisation_dwiggins_dg_128kb.wav

The presets on Audio Studio are not supposed to let this happen. Can't trust the machines.

Thanks
Dale

This seems to be a wav file instead of mp3. Can't trust the machines!

It was a wave file. Never work when you are tired.

Reloaded:

sorry about that.

It was a wave file. Not machine error, operator error. Never work when you are tired.

Thanks Colleen - enjoyed listening to this!
I have only one PL note - there's a tight edit at 9.00 where you slightly cut off your next sentence. If you're able to edit that it would be fab, but no worries if not, it's not too dramatic!
