Kenny -
Just as in "Jimmy Scarecrow's Christmas" (chapter 11), the filename you used is missing the 't' in Christmas.

In this chapter you need to read the author's name at the ending of the intoduction - so you would read:

"Chapter 35 - Christmas on Big Rattle, by Theodore Goodridge Roberts."

Can you add the author's name, change the filename, and upload it again, please.

I notice that you have assigned Chapter 30 to someone who claimed it today. Please note that I claimed Chapter 30 yesterday when I submitted Chapters 32 and 33.

Oh, I did not notice your claim. I will put you in for section 30 right now. Thanks for pointing this out to me.

I am sorry but I over looked a previous claim to section 30. So I will leave you in for 24 but take away 30. I apologize for any inconvenience. Sometimes life just gets hectic.

Just one thing - you named the chapter
christmasbookofchristmasstories_29_dickinson_128kb.mp3
while it should have been
childrensbookofchristmasstories_29_dickinson_128kb.mp3

Will you please rename the file on your computer and upload it again? Then - after a spot check - it will be OK.
Phil will get yet another file under the wrong filename to clear away when it's time to publish the book.

So you know, your volume was near the lower LibriVox limit, so you can record future chapters a bit louder.

Diane -
I note four things
1) Your filename has '8' instead of '08', so:
childrensbookofchristmasstories_8_dickinson_128kb.mp3
should be:
childrensbookofchristmasstories_08_dickinson_128kb.mp3
(This makes it easier for a computer to sort the chapters in order!)
2) There were a few places in the chapter where your track reached 100% - clipping. These happened to all be where you were using Thistle's voice. Lucky you - the raspy sound clipping can give a track were hidden in the raspy voice you gave Thistle. This is something to be careful about in future recordings. (You can have Audacity highlight any cases of clipping by selecting 'show clipping' in the 'view' menu.)
3) I heard a few places in the chapter where your breath makes the microphone pop a little (not very badly, in your case). Again, this is something to be careful about in future chapters. You can often avoid popping of your 'p's and 't's by moving the microphone a bit up or around to the side so your plosives don't blow directly into the mic.
4) 'Checker' reports your chapter has a lot of DC offset, which is to say when you are recording absolute silence you are not recording zero volts but a constant - teeny-tiny - positive voltage. This doesn't prevent your chapter from passing a prooflisten, but it does bother my engineer heart. If you want to fix this it's way easy in Audacity: you could use the 'Normalize' filter with only the 'Remove DC offset' box checked or you could use the 'High Pass' filter with the frequency set to something like 100 Hz.

The only thing that needs to be fixed is to change the file name and upload again. If you want to try to fix the DC offset with a filter go for it. In any event I'll do a spot PL once you've re uploaded.
