Looks great - of course, I'd probably be interested, having done some home canning myself.

Oh, and since you got the offer of the home canning book, I'll move on to other stuff. This was fun.vviera wrote: ↑September 18th, 2021, 8:52 pm Here's the yawner of the Spanish grammar

38:08 - repeat: "I saw her writing; that is, I saw her write" repeated at about 38:14
Volume is too low: it's at about 85 dB. You can compress the file in order to build in the room to amplify.
My default settings are as follows:
Threshold: -17 dB
Noise Floor: -40 dB
Ratio: 2.5:1
Attack: 0.2
Decay: 1.0
NO checks in the check boxes
After compression, amplify by 5 dB. (Compression does shrink down the volume a little bit, because it's squishing the higher peaks. So you amplify by a little more than you originally needed.)

I have recorded but not yet edited a section to finish off this collection. I'll need someone to PL it.
If you have recorded anything for this, please submit it within the next week. If no one else submits anything by November 4, I will proceed with cataloging.

I've been considering doing one more. But I haven't found much recording time lately. I'll try to prioritize this. But there's no need to wait for me if I don't get to it.

Here you go!
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/ins005_coalgas_accum_128kb.mp3
1 hour, 6 minutes, some seconds.
The discussion around minute 46 about how some innovations put people out of work is in interesting one. I had in mind robots and AI and automation nowadays while I was recording it.

one hiccup at the beginning--repetition at :11 and :14 "with elevations..."
Yes, containerization put a lot of stevedores out of work. I love that he is referring back even to his past with the threshers, et al.

Here it is!
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/ins005_1to500ofliteraryquestions_kramer_128kb.mp3
72:25
Questions 1-500 of One Thousand Literary Questions and Answers
By Mary Eleanor Kramer (could not find birth/death years)
https://archive.org/details/onethousandliter00kramuoft/
I originally was thinking I could read all 1000 questions, but when I got to 50 and checked my time, I realized that wouldn't be possible. But maybe I can record the other 500 before the week is out? Or just save it for the next one.

Thank you! Nice weather today, so I won't be checking it just yet, but going out and enjoying the day.
It's your choice (and your schedule) whether you choose to do the second half now or later.
