Hello,
This is not my first recording but my first time reading a story.

Name: The Little Match Girl

Author: Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875)

Text source: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/32571/32571-h/32571-h.htm#Page_117

Recording URL: https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/csw037_thelittlematchgirl_hg_128kb.mp3

Thank you
Hiranmayi
Hi Hiranmayi,

Thank you! First off, since there is already one version of "The Little Match Girl" in this collection, I am going to have to move this one over to the next one - we don't allow multiple recordings of the same story in each collection. :-)

There are a couple of minor repeats.
@1:26 bundle....bundles
@7:19 her....her

You can upload the corrected file to this thread. I already have the next project set up, with your file in it, but it isn't public yet. :-)

That site does not provide text sources. We can not use it. Please find the story on Project Gutenberg.

Hello I have edited the her ...her repetition at 7.19 but I couldn't edit the bundle ... bundles repetition at 1.26 because either a word before it or after it is also getting cut. I am uploading the edited link here and let me know if this is ok or if I should rerecord the story.

Hi Hiranmayi,

You can re-record the phrase or sentence and past it in the recording. That is how it would need to be fixed if you can't just cut it out on it's own. :-)

Here is a video that may help you without how to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLdJsoGQc9c

Hi there,

We have recorded 'The Little Match Girl'. This is my son's first Librivox recording. :)

https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/csw037_littlematchgirl_ak_128kb.mp3
  • Story Name: The Little Match Girl
  • Author (birth year - death year): E. LOUISE SMYTHE (1907-1944)
  • Length in minutes: 4m 35s
  • Read by Avinash Kalaga
Nice job! :thumbs:

Everything is fine, except the Librivox disclaimer is missing at the beginning.

It should go as such, the bolded part being missing: The Little Match Girl by E. Louise Smythe."This is a Librivox recording. All Librivox Recordings are in the public domain. For more information or to volunteer, please visit Librivox.org"

Thank you :) The disclaimer is added to the file. Here is the updated mp3 file. Total length is now 4m 53s
