First, we can not use that text source, as it does not state where it is from. However, I did find the same version here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/27200
The recording itself is fine ~ no repeats, etc. However, there technical aspects that are incorrect. This is why we strongly encourage doing and getting an okay on a 1 minute test before jumping into a longer recording.
First, as you know, it needs to be an mp3, not a wav file.
The bit rate needs to be 128 kbps.
The volume is much too low. It needs to be amplified. However, there are some spikes in the recording that will prevent amplification. You will need to de-amplify the spikes before amplifying the entire file.
After you get the volume up, you are probably going to have some bad background noise that will need to be reduced.
And last, but not least the file name is incorrect. It should be in this format: csw036_shorttitleinoneword_readersinitials_128kb.mp3
Here are some links that may help you in getting the technical settings correct:
I know this is probably a bit overwhelming, but do what you can, and if you run into trouble, don't hesitate to ask for help.
