Hi,

Here goes my first attempt, let me know if i forgot some stuff

:help:
Welcome to LibriVox Michael :D good first reading.

You've labeled your file 'Version 2', don't worry if you need to upload a corrected file, the first file gets renamed on our uploader so it is available if needed, but does not show up on the forum.

*Please let me know under what name would you like to appear in the LV catalog and if you have one, we can put your personal URL link on your catalog page too.
You can view your brand new LV Catalog page by clicking your forum name in the Magic Window.

Thanks for the feedback, please put it under

Thanks for the edit Roger, MW now reads PL OK. :D

Round two! I tried to be less monotone this time around. Hopefully all things are in order.

Thanks! :D
Thank you VoiceNB17, the volume is a bit low at 83.9 dB, you should aim for your waveforms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:

You can check your volume using our Checker program - see info at http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker You will find the volume in decibels on the Information tab. For your information, we look for around 89 dB (87-91 is OK)

Thank you for the advice! I used the program to ensure it was correct, and I uploaded a corrected version of the file with the same name.

Thank you Bruce.
Thanks for the PL David.

Regarding yours, I noticed just a couple of minor things.

Line 1 (00:09):
I'm hearing "log-cabin" - which is much the same as log-hut, I suppose (but a trifle more elegant).

Verse 2, Line 2 (00:24):
I'm sure I hear "rainment" rather than "raiment".

First recording I'm submitting for Librivox! I submitted my 1-minute test yesterday but it hasn't been looked at yet so just let me know if there are any technical issues. :D

Welcome to LibriVox Ambsweet13 :D good first reading, I wouldn't let the volume, which is 93.3 dB, get any higher.

You should aim for your waveforms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:

Ok! I would like to appear as my forum name, Ambsweet13. I might already be in the catalog because I signed up to record for another project.

Thanks for your feedback, I downloaded Checker so I can now check my volume. I edited the volume in Audacity, ran it through Checker and then reuploaded to Librivox; I used the same link so the new version should be up now! :D
