Nice job!

There are a few PL Notes.

First the volume is too low at 82.8 DB. We need it to be between 86 and 92 DB, the ideal being around 89.

And at the very end you said: "End of G.K. Chesterton's Newspaper Columns: The New Witness - 1921, by G. K. Chesterton." - that part is only for the end of the very last file in the project. :-) So if you remove that, amplify the volume, and reupload, that would be great!

Also, we do need you to tell us the run time of each file when you post them. We need it for cataloging time!

Thanks!

Hi Kheruba,

28 is all yours!

Please let me know what name you would like to use for your catalog page. It can be your real name, forum name or a pseudonym ~ whatever you prefer!

Thanks, and have fun!

I finished my first real librivox reading!
I had to cut out a word of stuttering, so there might be one or two bits of choppy sound.
Length of section 28 is 11:34

Hi Judith,

Thank you! Here is a link to your catalog page: https://librivox.org/reader/14288

You did a really nice job on your recording! :thumbs:

There are a few PL Notes.

@1:31 repeat of on "on...on the"
@1:52 as a mere --- as a more - Should be "As a More"
@6:34 stumble: "with medieval tour...tournament"
@7:26 stumble
@8:19 stumble
@9:27 stumble
@10:09 stumble "more dem....democratic"

And at the very end you need to say "End of Section 28", not "End of King Arthur at the Court of the Yankees".

Theses are all very minor, and like I said, you did a really nice job! :-)

I am confused. Did it pass or do I have to make another recording afresh?

HI Judith,

No, please don't make a new recording! You just need to take the recording you already submitted and edit out the mistakes that I listed. If you need help on how to do it, please let me know!

I was able to "import" the mp3 file into audacity, I struggled with the buttons and things but I think I made the edits. It is re-uploaded under the same link, and is now 11:27 long.

You did a great job, Judith! Don't worry it gets easier the more you do. :-)

You did miss one edit @1:52 as a mere --- as a more - Should be "As a More"
