It has been slow. How about four submissions total for now, friend. I will be adding another soon and we'll see if there is more interest from others. I would love to have some prayers in Hebrew as well as other languages than English. Maybe I will 'advertise' in the other-than-English thread.

And thank you VERY much for the St. Francis!

Greetings -

Soupy, thanks for adding one of my favorite prayers. Francis of Assisi has a number of very meaningful prayers.

MW has been updated to show PL OK status.

Hi,
I'm Riccardo from Milan, nice to meet you! I like this project a lot and I would like to contribute.
A quick question: can I read in a language different than English (e.g. Italian, Spanish, Latin or French?) I guess the answer is "Yes" from the title of this project, but just doublechecking...
Thanks for your feedback.
Ciao!
Riccardo

Thanks Kevin! Few more tedious questions for you - sorry about that, but I am pretty new to LV and I want to make sure I get things done right.
Say that I want to read a prayer in Italian, the part at the beginning and at the end of the prayer (prayer name, reader, etc) will it have to be in Italian or shall I leave it in English?

Thank you for both!

There are two things we need to do. The first is to have you decide on a Display Name. 'rdellamartera' is your Forum Name, but you will also have a name which will be shown to the public in our catalog. This name can be anything you like, even your real name. Once you decide, I can enter you into our system.

Also, we do not accept wikipedia as a source for our texts, but your texts are so well known that I will find other links for you. Or if you can find other sources published before 1925, than we can use them. (There should be no problem.)

Let me know about your Display Name as soon as you decide, please.

Hi Kevin,
as for the Display Name, you can use my real name, which is Riccardo Della Martera.

I am sorry about the wikipedia links, I was not aware that they could not be used. Let me know if you need help in finding the links, although those texts are so old that it will not be an issue to find another source.
BTW, the prayer from San Francis is not in current Italian, but it is the original version, in Medieval Italian, the version composed by the author.

Thanks for your help, I am very happy to collaborate with this project, and hopefully we will reach the adequate number of prayers for it to be published.
Ciao!

Riccardo :D

Hi Kevin,
please find here a possible link to a source for the Ave Maria in Latin:

https://www.divinumofficium.com/cgi-bin/horas/officium.pl -> click on Matutinum

That's taken from the book of daily prayers that was redacted right after the Council of Trent in 1570, which heavily reformed the Mass and all the related liturgies in the Catholic Church. Hope it helps.
Ciao,
Riccardo
