    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here Please select and record any short prayer in the public domain. For clarification of what it means for a work to be "in the public domain," see this section of the LibriVox Wiki: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Copyright_and_Public_Domain. Try to stay with prayers that run less than 60 minutes. There is no need to "sign-up" before recording; as long as the work is clearly in the public domain. Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit any edits to your sections within 1 month of the proof-listening notes being posted.
    4. Where do I find the text? Please see the post below this one for more information on this.
    5. If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Here is an opportunity for us to share our favorite prayers and to learn more about other faith traditions. Nonsectarian prayers welcome, also, though I can't say I know what these are. I've heard about them, though.

Please (1) link to your source material, (2) provide the link to your recording, and (3) give your recording's length.

Please only work from texts that were published before 1925 or inquire here if a specific text is actually in the public domain. (You'd be surprised by how much religious material is under copyright.)

Duplicate prayers are welcome, but I might place duplicates in a later volume.

Submissions will be considered of a general nature. (Anything goes, so to speak.) Future collections may focus on prayers for peace, prayers of thanksgiving, etc,

No need to claim a spot. We'll keep going until we have 20 submissions (with an option to add more sections.)

I've set this up.

I've changed the intro wording a little, and changed the file name configuration a lot. See what you think, and don't hesitate to disagree with me. :)

Are you familiar with putting authors and sources into the MW sections? If so, please do it. :) If not, I can give you some instruction.

Oh boy. Is there a prayer for that?

I will need instruction. I hope you don't mind. At your convenience.

It's not hard:

- Click the magnifying glass in the "Meta" column for the section
- Enter author's last name and find them on the list. If they're not there, let me know so I can add them to the author database.
- Enter the source text
- Enter the language
- Click ADD.
DO NOT enter the duration; this will be automatically put in during cataloging.
Ignore the MP3 URL fields.

Okay! That's easy enough.

I suspect that most prayers---the prayers themselves---will be by anonymous. In that case, do I put the collection's author?

"Anonymous" and "Unknown" are both authors in the database, so use them. :)
