A Curious Dream is PL OK!

Now that's a performance, and a great listen! Well worth waiting for, and will be enjoyed by mill . . . well, at least thousands, over time.

PL Notes on The Christmas Dream:

Hi, Mokka, welcome to Librivox. Great job on your first very cute story, and I hope to see many more from you.

Now, on to my notes:

Volume a little low at 86.3, Though it passes LV specs, 89 is the median we shoot for as we don't want listeners reaching for their volume controls between each file.

Now for notable errors:
2:33 text reads: although it was [only] the 25th of December, if this is not hard work. Eighty-five youngsters have I called on the last hour. Hark!
Bold phrase is missing, and [only] should be deleted.

Please make your corrections and upload again to the same MC folder, with the same file name, and the new time.
I have added you to the catalog as mokka. This only needs to be done the first time.

Deleted one sentence too many during cleanup, oops ;_;

Here's the updated audio: https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/dreamscollection1_christmasdream_redfield_mom_128kb.mp3 (05:27)
Volume is about 88.9dB, I hope that's okay c:

Thanks for the PL!

PL Notes Dream World

What a strange story! But clever. I did not know of this author so thanks for adding it to the collection.
Volume good. Specs check out fine. Only problems I found were in the Outro where you said A. R. Lafferty (reversed initials). You could just copy R.A.Lafferty from the Intro and paste it at the end, or re'record that bit.

Also, you skipped the quote above the picture before the first paragraph:
"It was the awfullest dream in the world, no doubt about it. In fact, it seemed to be the only dream there was!"

Same routine: fix, upload using same file name, and post here for spot check, citing new time.

Wasn't sure if the quote should be included, so I edited it out in post the first time. I'll ask before posting next time! c:
Initials are also fixed, thanks for the PL!

I really enjoyed this poem that, as far as I can tell, is pretty well forgotten -- and it shouldn't be! It's got the kind of imagery and rhythm that would go great in a middle or high school poetry anthology. Anyway, it's:

The Nightmare by William Danby (1752-1833)

This version was unattributed but might be easier to read -- I googled the first line to see if I could find a version with an author named, and got the Google Books hit, which predates the publication date on the Gutenberg text (1829 vs 1835):

William Danby info (he's not in the LV catalog yet): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Danby
