I have never read this poem by Tennyson. Wonderful stuff and a fitting end to the volume. Excellently read by Sonia! PL OK!
thank you, Jim :9: it was also new to me.

thank you Kristine :) I see you have immersed yourself into the life of Queen Mary. Quite an interesting chapter of English history. Both sections beautifully and flawlessly read. PL ok for both of them :)

Have a good start in the new week

Here is Section 52. I think it is due to my having so many solos that I do this so often. Sorry.

no worries :) oversights happen. In any case, the section is totally PL ok. The printing press came a bit as an afterthought after all this warmongering

Thank you Jim

Section 73 - Elizabeth (time 2:49)

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory_volume09_73_tappan_128kb.mp3

Interesting to hark back to an age when Drake was still regarded as a hero and the East India Company was still thought to be a good thing. How attitudes have changed. Hopefully at least the poets are still regarded as greats or are they all now "pale, male and stale" as some of my younger friends tell me.

edit: I initially uploaded this to Todd's folder by mistake. Hopefully it is ok now :help:

yes it's fine, since you reuploaded again to my folder. I could also have gone on a "fishing trip" in Todd's folder and grabbed it over. You can let me know if this happens again, so you don't have to reupload ;)

The section is PL ok. Yes it always depends who is writing history. The heroes of one time may be the villains of another.

thank you Alan :) and I think that was your final section in this project. See you in the next !

thank you, Colleen, what a fiery dialogue you have produced here. I felt like watching a movie (incidentally "The Tudors" ) a great section. :9: you should really consider joining our theatre group for a few plays once. I think you would like the performances there.

There are only two small corrections to note:

> at 1:11: (p. 464) could you please insert "the editor" at the appropriate place after the intro ?

> at 11:53: (p. 471) repeat "hear this" – can be cut out once

thanks

ah another famous Robin Hood episode, a great classic 8-) thank you, April, very adventurously narrated. I love the piping voice of Locksley  he sounds funny.

I only found one small repeat though, which needs to be cut:

> at 1:37: (p. 262) stumble and repeat "several of whom – correction" – all this can get cut, as it's repeated later

the rest was perfect :)
