For those looking for love stories, here is a nice collection: https://archive.org/details/love00meargoog/page/n14

I especially enjoy "Love in a Fog."

I hope those interested will give them a try!

Hello, my apologies for the poems, silly me :(
However, I found a story:
Author: William Schwenk Gilbert (18 November 1836 – 29 May 1911)

Title: Angela - An Inverted Love Story
Audio recording ready for PL'ing: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/lovestories1_angela_gilbert_cjph_128kb.mp3
Time: 12:29
Kind regards,

This link below should have all the corrections and is only some two seconds off from the original.

41:42

Let me know if there is a problem, please.
Okay, my turn to be confused. Is this the same file as horsedealers? Same exact time, different filename, and both cite the same story title. Which do I use?

This one is two seconds longer and has the corrections you pointed out. Perhaps you don't like the way I pronounce "horsedealer's daughter"?

It's been a while since I recorded this and I assume that I saved the file with a different name so as not to lose the first version.

This last submitted recording should be correct.

Tell me if I'm wrong. I'll look, too.

Oh, do you think this is a third submission? It is not, but only the correction to the one and only Lawrence. Sorry for the confusion!

PL Notes Angela

What a unique and delightful love story, Chad! It brought tears to my eyes. Just two notes.

5:12 "in a pretty affec-ta-tion of despair", you say pretty affec-tion dispair
And while you are making this edit, your file could use a volume boost of about +2 to 89.

Well then, I will use the most recent submission and delete the other one from the MW, and that means you can contribute another story!

Thanks for the feedback, and hope all your tears are dried up now. This story must have had an impact on you, or was it my accent?

Angela is PL OK. Good job, Chad, and while your Irish brogue is charming to my American ears (which I've told you time and again  ), it was the story that made me cry. Maybe you can come up with another good one.
