haha, indeed, but they have a hard life and need to eat fatty, I suppose. Thank you, Jim, for another interesting section. I loved the short essays and they are flawlessly read. Definitely PL ok.

the Strokkur is quite a reliable geysir and it was spectacular seeing it spout :9: but we were unlucky and the Great Geysir was not spouting while we were there.

I didn't know they could coax him to spout with turf thrown in  Interesting article, and absolutely wonderfully narrated, thank you so much, Availle. PL ok as well.

Thanks Sonia, you've just sent me on a trip to find out more about geysers.

wikipedia has a good article on how they spout, but they say nothing about inducing the spouting, just a passing mention of throwing soap into one of them. It might have something to do with increasing the pressure more quickly, so that the release comes earlier? No idea, but it is an interesting question.
Cheers, Ava.

soap ? That must have been a bubbly eruption afterwards

well when we were there, we had to wait for the natural course to take place. I guess all these methods are now forbidden to preserve nature.

There should be a personality test that asks: Are you a Mountain, Sea, or River Lapp?

Hello Sonia,
This is just to apologize for not posting any of my claimed sections. I had problems with "finding" all of section 34, 22 pages in all for that one. Now I have located them and am
in the editing process.

no worries, April, you still have time and this was the longest section of this book if I'm not mistaken  But why did you have trouble finding the pages ? :hmm: I noted down the pages in the Notes-section in the MW. Were the pages wrong ?

@Kevin and Nemo: thank you for your sections, will PL this afternoon !

 what a ruffian priest ! It's a very funny poem, considering it's Longfellow. I know him more of the epic vibe. Great reading again, Nemo, and PL ok as well. Thank you so much !

I wouldn't want to sail in one of those though :? I'm a bit squeamish when it comes to being on the water, to be honest. Oomiaking is not something I would relish. But an interesting section. Can be marked PL ok.

Thank you, Jim !

Thanks! I share your discomfort. I go to the beach and I go to the lake, but I never get in. And I dislike all the popular water activities. Jim
