:hmm: :D Cheryl
I've amended the MW.

Quick question: when you are reading a single chapter, do they stand alone as stories? We don't want listeners wondering at the end.

Yes, I do listen for that. This was cleverly selected as it did stand alone well. You can see where the story was coming from and going, but there were no stray references leaving question.

Hello!
I have attempted another story.
Author: Sarah L. Barrow (Unknown)
Title: Neighbourhood Nelly Socks
Link to text: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/29597/29597-h/29597-h.htm#Page_132
And my audio recording:
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/ss082_neighbourhoodnellysocks_cjph_128kb.mp3 Time: 02:43
I am not sure about when Sarah was born or died? Please can you clarify, just to make sure this recording is okay?
Kind regards,
Chad

I can't find her dates either, but her book Red, White and Blue Socks was published in 1862, so I imagine she died a while ago.

Edit: I found her: 1842-1919.

Section 6 "Neighborhood Nelly......" PL OK
Nicely read, :)
But,
Now, this one doesn't stand alone very well. It is the last little chapter of the book or series and it sounds like just that. Again we also have the issue of calling it the name of the book when it is just a little portion. It is very much a children's story. So I will have to ask for Lynne's opinion again. :hmm:

Hmmm. This doesn't sound like it fits comfortably here, I'm afraid, and I'm fairly sure Maria wouldn't like an 'odd' chapter in the children's collection. Chad, you could record the entire book as a solo, or set it up to BC as a group project and claim this chapter for yourself. Of course, in either case, the intro/ outro would need to be edited.

Thank you — although are you sure this isn’t a children’s story? Kate Douglas Wiggins was a founding mother of the preschool movement 8-)

Again, sorry I will choose another story and transfer this recording to the children's short works.
Thank you for your consideration and clarification :D

Section 7 PL Notes - One very short repeat at about 3:50 "To inform you of the...To inform you of the.."
The "stand alone" of this is iffy, but it is entertaining (I think).
Again there is the naming problem. It should reflect that this is a short excerpt from the volume. The name is already long, and this isn't even part of what the name is about. So I was thinking it might be "A letter from an unfinished novel by Jane Austin" This is the first chapter of the third book in the volume. ??and :hmm: Cheryl

I’ll change the title but leave it in the collection
