Here is your feedback for Sections 13, 14 and 60 -

First of all EXCELLENT readings! There were NO mistakes in the 3 sections in terms of the text! That is awesome!

Section 13 –
Please change file name to storiesandpictures_13_peretz_128kb
0:05, 0:23 and 15:48 - recording should say Section 13 not Section 4

Section 14 –
Please change file name to storiesandpictures_14_peretz_128kb
0:05, 0:25 and 13:20 - recording should say Section 14 not Section 5
The volume for this recording is a bit high at 93.6 dB - please reduce it to around 89dB

Section 60 –
0:01 and 0:25 - recording should say Section 60 not Section 25
You are missing the end of the recording – “End of Section [Section number]" "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"

Please upload the fixed and renamed files and I will check them when you are done -

Lynda
Thanks, Lynda! I made the changes above and these should be ready to go now. :D

Hi Natalie -

You already submitted Section 14 in the post above this one. Do you mean Section 61? I have not listened to this yet - just realized when I went to post the link to the MW that you already have sent in a Section 14 which you corrected above and now you are sending in a new one?

A little confused....

Hi Natalie -

Okay, I figured out the file you submitted is Section 61. Your reading is PL OK - awesome reading yet again!

Please edit the intro to and exit to say Section 61 and not Section 25.

Please re-name the file to number 61 from 14 and upload and post the link and time for me.

This is the 3rd time this has happened - please be very careful when both recording Sections that you read the correct section number (it is on the left side of the Magic Window) and what is stipulated as to what you say below the Magic Window. It is not very often we record Chapter Numbers. Second, and more important as it affects other peoples files, you need to be very careful when numbering your files with the section numbers. In this case, by uploading a 2nd Section 14 file you have overwritten the correct Section 14 which is PL OK with a reading that belongs later in the book. Now MaryAnn needs to go into the server and restore the correct Section 14 which I will have to check to ensure it is the right one that was PL OK. So if you can pay a little more attention to your recording intro/exit and naming of files that will help out quite a bit!

You are excellent at recording - I have found no mistakes in your spoken word so having to do these types corrections really should not be necessary.

Lynda,

Here is the correctly labelled recording of section 61 (time is the same):

https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/storiesandpictures_61_peretz_128kb.mp3

As for creating such a huge problem for MaryAnn, that was not my intention at all. I did not know that it was overwriting anything when it was mislabelled! I apologize to her, and you, and hope that you know I was very confused by the different naming convention that was used on this project (having one number on the name of the audio file, and a completely different one in the book itself).

Going forward I will double/triple check the section number on each recording, as I don't want to keep creating this issue on my upcoming recordings. Thank you for spelling it out this way, and I do appreciate the effort you both put into auditing and overseeing these book productions!

Apologies,
Natalie

hi. I noticed that section 3 is still not assigned. I'm ready to start work on it now if you would assign it to me? I'm guessing this got lost in all the travel craziness. Thanks. Jen. Please use Jen Teal Levine for my name. I also had a question about how do deal with "sub-sections".
They are indicated with a line between sections of text. Is there a specific way to indicate when I move into a new subsection? It seems strange to just keep going without acknowledging this. Because it is a long piece, I had thought I would take literal breaks at those breaks (record it in pieces), and maybe leave a small pause? lmk what you'd advise. Thanks. Jen

Hi Jen!

Me? Travel craziness? Na! Travelling 24,000 miles in 28 days - no issues other than some really nasty jet lag :)

Anyway, many thanks for letting me know I still had not added you and assigned the recording... I have fixed that now! You are free to record.

Here is the link to your recording page - https://librivox.org/reader/14079 - on it you will find all the books/chapters that have been assigned to you and their status. It allows you to keep track of things easier. Also the book names are hyperlinked so it is a faster way to getting back to what you are recording.

As for your question, I just do a longer pause, but please do not pause too long. I have another book I am recording and I measured my pause and it was 1.5 seconds when I had those lines between the groups of sections of text in a chapter. You are more than welcome to record them separately as you are correct this is a longer reading, however please paste them together into one recording and name them per the naming convention below the Magic Window (grid) on the front page.

Let me know if you have any more questions :)

Violet Blue -

Section 61 still says Section 25 in the exit...

Can you please change it to Section 61 and then re-upload the recording?

Many thanks!

Hi Natalie -

Can you please upload the two recordings above again? Section 13 and 14.

I was just listening tonight to ensure we had recordings in the correct places and Section 13 is incorrect and so is Section 14.

I am not sure what happened when we were changing them in the background, so it will just be easiest if you overwrite them with your corrected recordings.

Many thanks!

Here it is.... Let me know if there are any issues with it. The uploader wasn't working in Google Chrome today, so I had to switch over to Firefox.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. I have uploaded 13 and 14 again, so I hope this will correct the issues I created with my gaffe!
