Hello. I'm up to 55 minutes of lulling, restful bread and roll recipes. I feel obligated to finish the second chapter, though. Is there a recommended length for these submissions?

Looks like just one or a few chapters will be plenty long enough...lots of:

Just FYI for now:
I am planning to do "Selections From" the Catechism of Familiar Things, specifically:
(depending on how long it takes)
: Chapter 1 -- Dew, Water, Rain, etc.
: Chapter 2 -- Corn, Barley, Pearl Barley, etc.
: Chapter 4 -- Cocoa, Toddy, Cherries, etc.
: Chapter 5 -- Bombazine, Crape, Camlet, etc.

I am getting the Catechism ready, and have a quick Q for you (in the "better safe than sorry" vein):

There is no author indicated; after the title (and explanation thereof), it just says --

New York, Cincinnati, and St. Louis:
BENZIGER BROTHERS
PRINTERS TO THE HOLY APOSTOLIC SEE.
Copyright, 1881, by BENZIGER BROTHERS.

So my Q is:
Can I say, "Selections from A Catechism of Familiar Things, published by Benziger Brothers"?

Hi Tricia, a Q re. Chapter One:
On p.16, under the question "What is Rain?" there is a parenthetical note saying "see page 18" -- which is a reference to the question "What is Electricity?"
Since this is an audio with no identification of page numbers, can I omit this parenthetical note?

I would love to read some selections from http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/50758 . Such a good idea! I may need to use the prior collections when I can't sleep!

Also, I was just in Toronto last week for work Tricia!

We're outside Toronto, to the east about 35 miles. But TO is the reference we use for those who don't know the area.

I was thinking (not seriously enough to actually do it) about trying some of those. I did a little research; a "gill" is the same as a "teacup" = 1/2 cup. I didn't look up a saltspoon, though.

There are also conversions for "slow" and "fast" and other oven settings.

I'm actually going to do some of the recipes for baking come autumn! You're invited to tea anytime you and yours are in southeast Wisconsin.
