Please help us record The History of Pendennis, a lesser-known but no less fabulous novel of Thackeray's!

Campbell, thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement! I was able to amplify my reading to 88 db. I tried to get to 89, but I'm still learning :P I also went in and did some more noise cleaning after amplifying. Please let me know if it needs anything further. Thanks again!

Chapters 16, 22, 33, and 40 PL OK !

Chapter 18 notes:
the beginning silence is currently around 2 seconds, we need it at no more than 0.5 to 1 :D
0:16 - missing word 'willow'
1:00 - heard 'true', text says 'too'

Chapter 64 notes:
0:57 - repeat of 'come'

You have really nice pacing, very helpful since you chose longer poems :).

I also dropped her volume a bit so it wouldn't be so close to the high end.

Two new poems recorded:

Corrections made to 8 and 11. I just recorded a new one for 10 ... so maybe make sure I didn't misspeak somewhere new!
And these are all great too !

Now it sounds great! Luckily for us 88 db is still in the accepted range, and I hear zero background noise. And everything will get easier as you go along. I've only been here for almost a month now (wow, hard to believe, I've done so many projects ), so I can still remember my first few times. It was challenging, but getting PL notes really helped so I could know what to look out for and how to change things. If you ever need help with anything, there are plenty of friendly LibriVoxers to help you out!

Loved it! There was a lot of popping going on in that one . I only have one note:

The beginning silence is a bit long, we ask for it to be no more than 0.5 to 1 second. Right now it is around 1.5 seconds. If you could cut that down that would be great!
