Loup-garou! by Eden Phillpotts (1862 -1960).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/loup-garou-by-eden-phillpotts/

Volunteers outside the USA Eden Phillpotts died in 1962. Her work is still protected by copyright in places, like Europe, where copyright is author's death plus 70 years, or Australia (author's death plus 70 years for authors who died after 1954.
A book of short stories, including one about a werewolf! (Highly Temporary!) ( Ann Boulais)
    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/loupgarou00phil/page/n7
    5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Chapters 2 to 5 are yours, thank you! But, make sure to do your one minute test first. It is not an audition, but a way for us to check your settings before your record your sections. What name would you like credited on your catalog page?

Section 1 just needs two quick edits, then it will be perfect!

@4:14 there is a missed stumble that needs to be cut out. It's just a small one, like a part of a word, but large enough to be noticeable.

At the end, after finishing the text, you have 5 seconds of silence, then you say, "End of section 1." You need to switch those, after finishing the text you should say, "End of section 1," then have 5 seconds of silence.

Great job! Your pacing is good, and you are having fun with the text, which I can hear as you read. The one thing I can suggest is the editing, which can be the most tedious task to have to handle when recording. There are many ways to go about editing, but once you find the one that works for you, stick to it.

When you are done with those fixes, just upload the file again using the same file name and into my folder. Don't worry about the old and new files getting mixed up, the system that handles our files will rename the old file.
