Hi Dale,
I added him as an author. There isn't much information on him as you said, but he will get credit.
Thanks for your story!
Amy :)

Amy:

I ask questions because I do not know things. At what point should a story become a stand alone, and not part of a collection? Wolfbane By Frederik Pohl And C. M. Kornbluth is 34998 words. It was originally subdivided for magazines. Is that too long for a collection??

Thanks
Dale

Hi Dale,
That should be a stand alone. I would be happy to MC it for you.
Cheers!
Amy

Hi Dale,

My feeling is that the blurb would have impact immediately after the title, right before the start of the story; but I could be wrong and I
certainly won't make an issue of it.

Best,
Pete

The Merchants Of Venus

I have thought about where the blurb should be, and I think the only logical position is between the titles, with the Librivox ad. In a pulp magazine, it would be just under the title, and either in some kind of box or in a larger and different type face. But I can not do that when I am reading. To keep the blurb from being confused with the story, I think it is better between the titles.

Also, A.H. Phelps, Jr. isn't easy to find as an Sci-Sf author. I believe this is his only story. But he is published --

Byrd, J. F. and A. H. Phelps, "Odor and Its Measurement," Air Pollution, Vol. II, A. C. Stern (editor), (New York, Academic Press), pp. 305-327, 1968.

Air Pollution Aspects of Soap and Detergent Manufacture -- A. H. Phelps Jr.

Thanks
Dale

Hi Amy:

To quote Bil, that would be most excellent. What information do you need from me? The book is Wolfbane By Frederik Pohl And C. M. Kornbluth.

It is located at --
http://www.gutenberg.org/files/51845/51845-h/51845-h.htm

It is 14 chapters, without chapter names.

I intend to finish this project before the end of March.

Thank you. I can not wait to get started on my first solo project.

Hi Dale, just a couple of notes,

Over 1 second of silence at beginning before the audio - needs to be trimmed to between 0.5 and 1.0 second

14:53 "was" read, instead of "wasn't" (section 7, paragraph 6)

30:36 Repeat - "While the doctors come in to treat...." (section 12, paragraph 2)

Over 10 seconds of silence at the end - needs to be trimmed to 5 seconds

The audio is good quality!

Best,
Pete

Hi Pete:

Thank you. I know sometimes editors slide on words, but that was a very important one. Was to wasn't changes the character.

Anyway, I have made the corrections and reloaded.

Everything else is the same.

Hi,

I just got started with LibriVox and this looks like a good first project. I'm looking at doing "Exploiter's End" by James Causy; I should have a recording uploaded in a week or so.

Here's the link to the PG page: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/40970

All the best,

Walter
