Rob,

I made the changes to the audacity file so hopefully there is no degradation in the new file. Thanks.

wonderful, Rob, both Sections PL ok. And the last one was really promising. A pity it never got finished. But I totally have a hunch of how it will end. It will be revealed that the man at the beginning of the story was only still living in Geraldine's memories. It's Jim, the husband who died a year ago, but she never accepted that fact. That explains why the servant only made 4 toasts, they were for the woman only, and the man was not there anymore. Also note that the man only talks to the woman, not to anybody else. It's the woman who interacts with the servants. This was a give-away right from the start for what's to be revealed at the end.

Now I can't prove this, but if it had been my story, I would have ended it like that 8-)

Sounds plausible to me! I really did speak too soon when I said the stories weren’t depressing though, eh? I must have chosen the only cheery one first by pure chance!

Yes! I am very pleased about it.

I will set aside the chapter for you. You can read it once you get confirmation on your test. Also, as you may have seen me ask of other new volunteers, please let me know what you want your name to be in the Librivox catalogue.

here's my bit, Rob :) another more depressing story. Rupert is the classical bully and Arthur the victim.

It felt so strange at the end breaking off in mid sentence. I mean, granted it's only a fragment, but would any author really break off that abruptly, without even finishing the sentence ? :hmm:

This one had its funny parts, though! But, yes, what a weird place to end. "Rose on the" what? I wonder if she did carry on, but the next page was lost. Anyway, PL OK! Thanks!
