ooooh, an excellently narrative of this poem, and you managed to give the heat of the battle back well in your voice, cadence and tempo. I love best "CHAAAARGE, Napoleon !" 8-) sounded very lifelike. And then the last two stanzas have a totally difference pace, much quieter, since it's the aftermath of the bloody battle. I can basically feel the quiet hush that lies itself over the battlefield. Wonderfully conveyed, thank you, Alan.

PL ok.

Sonia
Thank you for the kind comments. I re-recorded the final two stanzas after I felt they needed a different tone. Glad you enjoyed it.

Sonia,
Weekends can be a busy time, especially during holiday times. Monday is a great time as far as I am concerned. :)

excellent job on both sections, April  Wow the chapter on the Vendée was quite action packed and I liked the forceful speeches you were giving us here. I was really feeling in the thick of it. 8-)

Section 73 is already PL ok.

The poem (Section 80) is also beautifully recited, and no textual errors here either, I only have one small note to correct:

> from 5:02-5:10: here you leave 8 seconds of silence before the end disclaimer, this seems a bit long. I already thought the recording was over and you had forgot the ending, but then you started up again saying it. Could you just cut some 6 or 7 seconds there please ?

Thank you

thanks April :) I'll mark it PL ok now. Though 3 seconds still feels a bit long to me, but that's personal taste. I don't think you usually leave that much pause. :hmm: But it's ok for now. :) Nothing to change. Anyway, the text is what counts and the text was totally fine.

awwww :9: what a sweet section. Bambi in Roman times (with a happy ending at least). I was fully afraid someone would kill the fawn to hurt Sertorius' reputation, but luckily this was a more positive section.

Beautifully narrated again, Devorah, and PL ok as well. Thanks so much !

Sonia,
More than happy to cut more seconds out if you would like. :hmm:
