Craig:

Yes I also find that it is better to re-record the whole sentence and that is what I do.

Thanks for the compliment about my recordings. I go out of the way to take the noise out, breathing, background noise, etc. I record every sentence two or three times and cut and paste the best sounding. it takes me three times longer to do the editing than it does to actually do the recording. It takes me a month or two to make one of these sermons.

I would like to record a short essay by Oscar Wilde but I'm awaiting a new recording machine that may arrive tomorrow, so I would expect to be recording in a few days. I realise that you will probably have started a new collection by then - (vol. 062?).

Hi Peter,

Essays by Oscar Wilde are always welcome at the Short Nonfiction Collection! :) It's my guess that Vol. 61 will wrap up late next week. If your new recording machine is up and working well for you this weekend and you want to upload Wilde on Monday (Dec. 10) that would be ok. You would be the very last submission for Vol. 61. Otherwise, I'd say "wait." I will probably open up Vol. 62 sometime next weekend.

These volumes have their own rhythm, so to speak. Our metacoordinator Jo really only has free time away from her full-time job to catalog on weekends. Craig needs time after the last submission to proof listen, and I need a few days after all the submissions are in to check the MW, the file names, the sources, and then to write the intro for the catalog and finish the CD cover, where I list all the names of the contributors.

The Collection is ongoing! Check out Short Nonfiction at the Internet Archive, and you'll see some impressive numbers for our collections: https://archive.org/search.php?query=Short+Nonfiction+Collection+Librivox+AND+collection%3Aaudio_bookspoetry

Hi Sue

Hopefully if the recorder arrives today and I get it up and running with multiple mics I will probably have it recorded by Sunday as it's quite short.

I used my commercial account as a template to set this up. That is not supposed to be on there. I will take it off. It is a title and meta tag from my other site. i will remove that and it won't be there in a few minutes.

I can't seeme to find the list you gave me of the corrections I need to make. Can you direct me to where I can find that?

Thanks,

Hi Leighton :)

This project currently has six pages. As more comments are made more pages are generated.

The notes I wrote for corrections are on page 5

Pages are located at the top and bottom of each page.
