Hi Larry!

Since no one seems to want section 9, may I claim it please.

We just finished watching the BBC's 1979 version of Measure for Measure, which by the way is probably the best and most faithful to the play, staging ever done. So I doubly am interested in this poem now!

Thank you!

Before I put this up for proof listening, there are a couple of technical issues you need to take care of.

1). The file name is incorrect. You will find the prescribed format in item 7 toward the end of the lead post in this thread, or you can follow the example of the section Nemo just posted just above.

2). The volume is too low, far below our accepted range. Our target is 89 dB with a range of 86-92 dB. Yours comes in at a barely audible 69.7 dB. -- except for a higher volume spikes at about 3:08 and your intro and outro.

We also request that you include the file length when you post the link. Again, you can see the example above.

If you need help with the volume correction, let me know.

Hi Aidan, here are your notes:

1:08 (not required): 'And lightning cleaving the tempstuous gloom' should be 'And lightning cleaving the tempestuous [tem-PES-choo-uhs] gloom'
1:20 (not required): 'On all gods of gold' should be 'On all their gods of gold'
3:22: 'and my soul seems to wafted' should be 'and my soul seems wafted'
3:30: Some hesitation that should be removed
3:45 (not required): 'Of librinthine music' should be 'of labyrinthine ['lab-uh-RIN-thin' or '-theen'] music'
5:00: 'Then the moonlit gardens' should be 'The moonlit gardens'
5:14: 'white dreams to lay on human tears' should be 'white dreams to lay on human hearts'
6:07: 'Wherein rush by pale bros' should be 'Wherein rush by pale brows [like 'browse']'
6:58: 'The kneel of dying Earth' should be 'The knell [rhymes with 'sell', not 'seal'] of dying Earth'
7:32: You're missing 'Lords of Oblivion' between 'Darkness and Death' and 'Heart-shaking monarchs'
7:48: I'm not sure how exact the legal text needs to be, but I think you do need to say 'this recording is in the public domain' rather than 'this poem is in the public domain'.
7:50: Your ending silence is a little too long. You should be aiming for five seconds (between 4 and 6 is usually fine), but you've got about 6.8 seconds.

I really hate it when I have to give a long list of notes to a new recorder...

Oh no problem! I am very new to to this, and I need as much help as I can get, and I will be sure to avoid similar mistakes in future recordings. That being said, here is the corrected file.
