These are in the MW.
My DPL seems to be a no-show, so I'll PL these soon if he doesn't respond.

Sure, that would be great!
I would suggest that you get the official "OK" from your one-minute test recording before launching into this, just to make sure you have all of your technical aspects in order. But, I've added you to the LV catalog, and assigned this section to you. Just click on your name in the Magic Window to see your personal LV catalog page where you can track all of your projects.

Welcome to LibriVox.

No problem, I have taken a shot at recording this already but will wait for the approval of my one-minute test before doing any more processing and uploading. The required cockney accent is something of a challenge, hopefully I haven't mangled it too badly :)

*edit* OK, I have my official approval so here it is: https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/redcrossman_06_service_128kb.mp3 - 4:00

Wonderful. Our DPL is a no-show so far, so I've listened to this.
This is an absolutely superb reading of this poem. Not an easy one to do, not just because of the accent, but the tone of death. You have given good expression to both. A lot better than my attempt when I played Eliza Doolittle's father in a college production of Pygmalion. Even with tutoring, I could never get it right.

Anyway, I hope we will hear a lot more of you hear on LibriVox, Nigel! Feel free to read a few more of these or jump into some of the other many projects going on.

end of poem added and public domain line.......
thankyou!
I don't know if I missed this the first time, or you changed a setting, but the bit rate on this is 192 kbs. So, just export it at 128 kbs and upload it again. Otherwise a fine reading of this poem.
