But you made it very lively with the direct speeches, I liked it a lot. This seems to be the account of one of the earliest boat regattas in history It was quite gripping to hear who would win in the end.adr6090 wrote: ↑September 6th, 2018, 12:36 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory_volume04_37_tappan_128kb.mp3 time 15:31
Here is one more section Sonia.
I found two small things which I think would benefit from correcting, if that's ok with you:
> at 5:18: p. 238: "pilot and master both, and cheers his men" - you forgot "both", I think the sense is more clear if you add it
> at 8:37: p. 240: "and called upon the deities" - I think I hear you say "die-etees" (like die, being dead), but this word is pronounced "day-etees", or "dee-etees", because the meaning is the gods (coming from Latin "deus"). You can hear it pronounced here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/deity
The rest is absolutely well read ! Thanks a lot for this interesting section.

Hello Sonia, this is the file with the edits.
Thank you for complimenting me.
I did enjoy this recording and I was enthralled to see who the winner would be, same as you.
Enjoy the rest of your day!!
