all three sections PL ok. And as always, beautifully narrated, I really like listening to your quiet voice. The part with Carthage was especially interesting as I was visiting the city some years ago. I love roaming around antique ruins. :9:

Thanks !

Thanks, Sonia. I thought the bit about digging a canal from the Atlantic Ocean to flood the Sahara was particularly amusing!

Here is section 22

The erupting volcano in Hawaii and knowing that many acres have been buried by lava is what compelled me to read this particular section.
I do hope that you find this as interesting of a section to listen to as I did recording it.

yes that one made me wonder  what a megalo-project endeavour ! Also I didn't think that the salty waters from the Atlantic would be any good to help irrigate the Sahara :hmm:

thank you, April ! I hope you will learn a new thing or two with the section. Gustave Flaubert is a good author, so I'm sure the text will be pleasing.

Also thanks for the other section, will PL later in the day.

oh yes, what an extremely interesting chapter :9: I always loved archeology and the ancient ruins. All the meticulous work involved to get to the old walls is really fascinating. I totally enjoyed this chapter and thank you for the nice reading.

I have a few minor corrections to propose:

> at 0:20: at the second part of the the full intro you say “The World’s Short Story” – you can cut out “short” from the title ;)

> at 6:37: (p. 79) “Tanis was the Hyksos capital” – you say “Hyskos” instead “Hyksos” (k-s reversed), I checked on wiki, the i-sound is actually like in “pit” not in “bite”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyksos

> at 6:42: (p. 79) “to lay bare the Hyksos level” – same thing for Hyksos

> at 9:25: (p. 81) “been longing to know about, for years before” – you say “about three years before” – this is too specific and not really what the text wanted to convey

Thank you, April, as always :)

 phew....I can finally breathe again. Seriously, thanks to your lively narration, I was totally drawn into this adventure and holding my breath at more than one dangerous point. What a ride ! And the dancing conductor sheikh on the rock was funny  Were all those men standing there every day just in case a boat comes by and needs their help ? :hmm:

Well...everything was perfectly PL ok. Thanks so much for this great section, Scotty !
