thank you, Jim, interesting article and excellently narrated. 8-) Rameses was always an interesting historical figure, I find.

The text as such is flawless, you only forgot to include the footnotes :? Could you please add them in the respective spots:

> at 8:11: (p. 92): “Footnote – about eight feet – End of Footnote”.
> at 13:09: (p. 95): “Footnote – one hundred and eighty-seven and one half miles – End of Footnote
> at 13:15: (p. 95): “Footnote – about four hundred and seventy-eight feet – End of Footnote

Thank you :)

thank you April ! Will PL tomorrow first thing ! Tonight I want to edit a few of my own claims.

I'll update the MW in the meantime, so they won't be forgotten.

Here is 25 avec footnotes. Curious that there are no such notes for subsequent cubit references:

thanks, April, these sections are both PL ok. There was no need to repeat the title of the painting twice, but you don't have to reupload, it's fine as it is :) Better twice than not at all  I loved the anecdote about the sleeping cat :9: such short tidbits are always interesting to listen to.

While the market-scene sounded a bit too crowded and noisy for my taste.

thank you, Philip for this wonderfully interesting story. I did not know that Livingstone was missing for such a long time and believed to be dead. I wonder why he deliberately didn't send news of his well-being to his people at home. :hmm:

Well, the section is PL ok as well, no errors at all.

 oh ok, yes, now I see. Maybe I should have gotten the pun immediately (probably too tired to notice)

yes I agree, she could have mentioned them everywhere. But maybe she thought by now people know in comparison how long the things will be :hmm:

Anyway, it's PL ok now. Thanks :)

Kitty:

Thanks for your always gracious PL. Livingston went where no non-African had been before and there weren't always convenient means to get word out. Amazing how much of the world was "unknown" even 150 years or so ago.
