Hi,

We do not assign sections in collections such as this, until a story is submitted! :-)

I would like 10, 11, and 12, please. I am committed to two book chapters, but am awaiting some help with Scottish pronunciation from a friend who will help me on Sunday.

I would like to choose three short stories from Mother West Wind's Animal Friends by Thornton W. Burgess. Here is a link:

http://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/39706/pg39706.txt

The first three stories, which are:

I. THE MERRY LITTLE BREEZES SAVE THE GREEN MEADOWS1

II. THE STRANGER IN THE GREEN FOREST

III. HOW PRICKLY PORKY GOT HIS QUILLS

Hi,

We don't claim sections in a Short Works project like this. You just record your chosen story, and submit it when it is ready! It will be added to the next open slot. First come, first serve!

Please make sure you read the first post of this thread!

Thanks!

Hi there,

It looks as though you already got an okay in the test forum - so you are good to go on that front!

This short works project is more for short stand alone stories, not an entire book as this one. It does not appear to me as though a chapter of it could be done on its own.

If you want to do it, you will need to set it up as a solo recording, though I highly recommend that you start with something shorter, before doing an entire book!

As for the "Submit 15 copies", is that in the Gutenberg text somewhere? I have no idea what that means! You most definitely do not have to have 15 copies for a chapter. Just one is all we need! :-)

Hi,

Those looks to be all stories in copyright, so we wouldn't be able to use those. Sorry!

We need to be certain that everything we use is out of copyright, in the public domain.

One morning, when Mr. and Mrs. Unicorn woke up, it was raining hard. "I'm glad we didn't go with that crazy old man Noah on his ark!" said Mrs. Unicorn.

Hi Rosa,

Thank you! You did a lovely job!

It is great except that the volume is too low and needs to be amplified.

If you could amplify it approximately 8 db and reupload it, that would be great! If you have never amplified a file and need help, let me know and I will send you in the right direction. :-)

Hi Matityahu,

Welcome to Librivox!

There are a couple of technical problems. The volume is much to quiet at 73.4 DB - we am for 89DB.

The bit rate is 87 kbps - we need it to be 128 kpbs.

Here is a link to the Newbie Guide for Recording from the wiki, that may be helpful to you: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Newbie_Guide_to_Recording

If you could fix these two issues and reupload, that would be great!

Hello again,

I made those corrections and believe the file is good to go! Let me know if any further corrections are needed.
