"The History Teacher’s Magazine is devoted to the interests of teachers of History, Civics, and related subjects in the fields of Geography and Economics. It aims to bring to the teacher of these topics the latest news of his profession. It will describe recent methods of history teaching, and such experiments as may be tried by teachers in different parts of the country. It will keep the teacher in touch with the recent literature of history by giving an impartial judgment upon recent text-books. It will give announcements of meetings of Teachers’ Associations and accounts of their work. Its columns being open to the questions and contributions of every history teacher, it will serve as a clearing-house of ideas and ideals in the profession of history teaching." - From the first issue of History Teacher's Magazine ( )
    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/55165
    5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Thanks, Greg!

Larry is not able to PL this issue, so I'll start out trying to do it myself. If I get behind, I'll advertise for a DPL.

Hi Greg,
Section 2 is PL OK, but...
Listening to your section I realized that I should have deleted "by Various" from the intro. I did it in the previous project as "The History Teacher's Magazine, Vol. I, No. 3, November 1909, by Various." does sound kind of awkward. I deleted "by Various" from the top post so others won't include it, but it is totally up to you if you want to edit your section. I don't mind if one section has it.

TWO SECTIONS -

Section 13 -

https://librivox.org/uploads/smijen/historyteachernov1909_13_various_128kb.mp3

Time is 17:50

Section 2 -

I also edited the PL OK Section 2 by taking out the "by Various" that you referenced on April 8. Even though you gave me the option to leave it in it would not have seemed right for only one track in the entire project to have that phrase in it, while all others did not.

New time is 6:46

Take care,

Greg
