Thanks for your message. I am familiar with ReplayGain, having used it for the sample test. I will also explore Checker and use both to review the recording before submission. I'll be in touch!

Hi Larry,
May I have 37-William Godwin, please?

PL OK for:

sect 3 Jane Austen
sect 4 Francis, Lord Bacon
sect 9 James Boswell

Well done.

Hi Larry,
When I tried the MW for:
sect 4 Francis, Lord Bacon, I received this error message. (The webpage cannot be found.)
The URL in the thread did work. :hmm:

Two technical issues before I put this up for full PL.

1) The file name is incorrect. It must have a three digit name, so should be, wordportraits_088_wotton per the example given.

2) The volume is too high, averaging 92.7 dB. Actually, the volume is very irregular. It starts off at a volume too low, then at about minute 3 changes drastically and jumps to over 94dB. So, you will need to do some work on that.

Please make these corrections and upload a new file and post a note here.

Thanks so much.

Hi--The link above will take you to my first recording ever, and I hope everything checks out. Please let me know what might need to be adjusted. Once I have feedback, I'll record the next two sections. Thank you! Lora
