Mindle:

Sorry you have been ill, and I'm sorry I just can't seem to get a grip on this. I plead extenuating circumstances or my brain turning into Tapioca. :) I have uploaded again and taken the file name which was in the MW for the name of the file. I have closed out the browser and re-opened it in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera--to insure its not in my cache--I downloaded the file 3 separate times and listened to the downloaded file. I can't explain what happened, but I believe it is finally in the right place.

(One thing about it, you're getting a lot of experience as a PL. Somehow you get more experience when things don't go well than when they go perfectly.) Brings me to this...I need a favor...would you mind monitoring the board and PL-ing what comes in from Jan 19-21? I'd appreciate it. If something comes in and you don't want to do it...just leave it and I'll get it when I get back. (My little outpatient procedure has suddenly morphed into a two day hospital stay without any explanation...I suspect a clerical error at the hospital. I was visiting a sick neighbor there a couple of months ago, and a maternity nurse came in and said, "Congratulations, here's your new son," and handed me a little guy. (I'm not sure who was more traumatized--I have grand nieces and nephews older than that! :D ). His parents were in the next room (fortunately). If the surgeon in charge wasn't top drawer, I'd probably just stay home.

Sorry to babble on........and thanks...you're doing a great job...

Philip

Philip, we did it! PL-OK! I'm glad we were able to work through that!

I'd be happy to PL stuff that comes in on those dates. I hope it's a clerical error and you can get it adjusted appropriately, and, either way, I hope your surgery goes well.

Your story about visiting your neighbor made me laugh out loud and share it with my wife, who also laughed out loud. :)

Patrick: Your reading of say not the Struggle Naught Availeth is PL-OK!

Garth: Your reading about Walpole is also PL-OK.

Very nicely done, both of you!

Many thanks,

Philip

I just found a hilarious poem in this collection, called In The Morning: https://archive.org/details/dunbarspeakeran00hillgoog

It's on page 33, I believe it was. I'll try to record this tonight. Short and sweet and just right, I think!

Ok, here it is! I just realized that this should be between 3 and 15 minutes, and it's actually less than three, but let me know what you think.

In the Morning

There are other short poems included, so I'm not going to be too strict on the time.
