Hi Devorah!

Your reading was fantastic! What a great job on the accent and tone. That was a great poem, too. I laughed out loud while listening to it.

Lynne -- Section 10 is PL-OK!

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I certainly had fun reading it! The author did an excellent job conveying the voice through his writing.

Lynne:

Here is one for the collection:

link:
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/cb_014_lastlesson_pg_128kb.mp3
duration: 10:48
title: The Last Lesson
author: Alphonse Daudet (1840-1897)
link to text (sorry, I couldn't get to the exact page in the collection): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/10577

Many thanks,

Philip

PS--usually it is the poetry that packs the emotional punch....I haven't "felt" a short story in a long time.

Lynne:

I have three selections read (but not yet edited) which fit the theme for the collection. I don't want to claim more sections in the collection than is allowed (and I didn't see a limit). One is a poem--two are short stories around 12:00 each.

I'll have them ready to upload in the morning just in case--but I'll put them in other collections if you decide not to use them (no harm done either way and no wasted effort, either).

Many thanks,

Philip

No limit... and although I said I would close it when we have 15 submissions, that's flexible, so even if someone came along and took one of the remaining spots, we might stretch to 16 (I love power  )

Lynne,

Would you like some help? Despite my recent silence, I'm still hanging out, so I'm happy to jump in if you'd like.
