Hiya, this is tricky because you need to increase the volume to be somewhere close to 89 decibel, and how far away you are fromit can vary from recording to recording. There are a number of things you can do.

1st option. Download an extra addon for audacity called replaygain. It measures the volume for you or lets you amplify to 89 decibel directly. Instructions are here https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity

2nd option. Download the checker, which tells you exactly what volume you have so that you can amplify with the right value. viewtopic.php?f=21&t=36489

There are more options than that but this is what i use and can recommend :) thank you!
