Note that I corrected an error in the Project Gutenberg transcription of the French in the text. Around 10:46, the Gutenberg text reads, "Qui out été lá tenus...," which makes no sense. I checked with the original photo-scan of the text at archive.org, and found that that line is supposed to be, "Qui ont été...."

Hi Carolin -

Can I please record 13, 14 and 15? Many thanks!

I do have one question as you do want us to record Footnotes. Do you say when recording the text the number of the footnote then that is associated with the section you are reading such as "this is Lynda's footnote (23) and she must say it at what time....". Which I would read "This is Lynda's footnote twenty three and she must said it at what time...."

Then at the bottom of the passage is (23) with the information which I preface with Footnote (read the footnote) and then End Footnote.

I hope this makes sense.... :)

hi lynda, i have instructions for the footnotes in the first post,

Quote:
Footnotes: please do read the footnotes. you can omit a footnote when it is only a reference (for example "L'Antiq. Exp. v. 63."). please indicate footnotes in your reading by including "footnote/end of footnote". Also, please find a suitable place for your footnote, for example not in the middle of a poem. thank you!

this means that when you have a sentence, you fit the footnote there somewhere. sometimes it is a short footnote, like a translation of an italian term, in which case it is best to say it right where it goes, sometimes it is a lengthy explanation, which can best be read at the end of the sentence although the footnote occurs in the middle of it.

so you have a sentence with a footnote, you read the sentence, and at the appropriate place you say "footnote: whatever the footnote is. end of footnote".

if you are at all familiar with non fiction, this shouldnt be a problem for you :)
