PL NOTES:

SECTION 29 - Bleuette and Coquelicot

Just a few small things here.

- The recording volume should be between 86-92dB, ideally around 90dB. This one is just over at 92.2dB.

-Since you are making one other change, please shorten the silence at the end of the recording to 5s instead of 10s. This is a new policy and is not fully implemented in project windows yet. I would not ask for the change, but since you are doing something else anyways, maybe it is not too hard.
I recommend you do this first, as the silence will affect the overall volume of the recording.

Thanks so much for stopping by and volunteering. I would have to have you do the 1-minute test first. This is to help you define your tech specs before recording here. Here is a link to the wiki on how to do this;

https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

Please check back when this is finished and we can discuss any selections you may like to help with at that time. Thanks so much!

Hi and welcome to librivox!

You are welcome to read that section. To be able to sign you up, i need to know under which name or pseudonym you would like to appear in the catalog. We can also link to your personal website or blog.

Please also complete the one minute test before getting started :) thank you!

I'd be happy to take Section 12 (second half of Young and Handsome), as long as you don't think the transition of voices from 11 to 12 would be too unsettling.

I would listen to Section 11 first for pronunciation and pacing, and then jump in with Section 12.

Hoping this will help close out this collection for you!

Hello Carolin,

I have redone Bleuette and Coquelicot. I used the checker to ensure they meet the required specifications.

https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/24fairytales_29_various_128kb.mp3

36:22:64
90dB

Please let me know how it goes!

Thanks,
Janette

Hi Carolyn,

Wow--I'm exhausted! I've just posted Section 12, which of course is just HALF of Young And Hansome. It's a long piece (26:32), made even longer after I tracked the ENTIRE story only to realize that Audacity had the, um, AUDACITY(!) to swap out my mic selection and pick the onboard laptop mic rather than my studio condenser. However, I now know that there's really no substitute to knowing a story than tracking it completely and fully, TWICE!!!

Here's Section 12: https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/24fairytales_12_various_128kb.mp3 -- 26:32

Cheers!
