Section 10 PL notes:

Good reading.
There is quite a bit of background noise. The file would benefit from noisecleaning.

~ 22:40 and again at ~40:00 there is a thump as if you bumped your mic. Not too bad, but if you can edit it out, it would improve it.

I love to read, AND my employer matches my volunteer hours with a donation to the Internet Archive, flagged to benefit Librivox.org. How cool is that?

Hi,

Sorry for the long delay on this!

I finally figured out the noise filtering. I hope this is better:

Section 9 is ready for PL:

Time is 46:49

Interestingly, this section is about Joan of Arc and tomorrow, January 6, is the 606th anniversary of her birthday.

I will claim section 25 (with the possible extension into a section 26).
I always learn so much when I read these!

You've got them. Make the break wherever you feel is appropriate and say "part 2" or "continued", whichever you wish.

Chapters 25 and 26 are ready for PL.
I broke the reading at the end of the section on Stewart Edward White, which seemed a natural break since the main title started up all over again. I also repeated the serial number, edition, etc. for the Part 2, because it made sense to me. This was a dangerous chapter! I now have a list of authors and books that surely are in the public domain, that I'm eager to read - in fact, I've already launched a solo project for one of the books mentioned herein. Now if we could just track down the edition with the Makers of Modern American Fiction (women), I think I'd have a lifetime of projects ahead!
