If that's the only problem, then it's OK. We don't limit recordings to 60 minutes. ;)

Wow. I had a nightmare that I recorded and uploaded a Christmas story, and Tricia rejected it, saying that it didn't count. And then she catalogued this project on like December 2. Whew! Glad to wake up from that one!

I'm sorry, Tricia, but I uploaded this file twice due to an error on my part. (nobody said growing old would be easy!) Anyway.....

"Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus" by Francis Pharcellus Church. Source is the Newseum's website: https://www.newseum.org/exhibits/online/yes-virginia-there-is-a-santa-claus/

Yay! What a great choice! No worries about the double-upload. :)

0:26-1:07 - this part of the web page isn't PD, so we have to remove it. It should start, "Dear Editor." If you want, you could say something like, "From the New York Sun, Sept. 21, 1897" as part of the introduction.

The scan of the editorial does have an intro that isn't transcribed on this web page:
"We take pleasure in answering at once and thus prominently the communication below, expressing at the same time our great gratification that its faithful author is numbered among the friends of THE SUN."

You could include that, if you like.

Thank you. I've followed your suggestions, vis-a-vis the intro and removed the offending portion. I trust all is now copacetic.

No, it's not the only problem.
Sec 20 PL notes.
18:12 "а яких" a typo (IMHO) has been read, there should be "з яких".

This story seems to be not a Christmas-themed one, although the author calls it as Christmas fairy tale at the beginning. There is some sort of a miracle at the end, but the whole story is very dark and has nothing to do with Christmas holidays. I couldn't find the criteria in the first post, so I leave it up to Tricia to decide.

I do not agree. If the author put it this way than it is a Christmas story, because this story is metaphorical. No one said this collection should include children happy stories.

Here is an artical about two Christmas stories. One by I. Franko, the other - "Dym" by V. Vynnychenko.

And of course, it's in Ukrainian.

I'm okay with it. "The Ghost's Summons" isn't exactly a happy Christmas tale, either. :)

So all we need to focus on is that typo in the audio?

Yes, it doesn't make sense, apart of this the section is very well read :)
