A Reel of Rainbow, by Frank W. Boreham (1871 - 1959)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/a-reel-of-rainbow-by-frank-w-boreham/

Volunteers outside the USA: Frank W. Boreham died in 1959. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 50 years; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
Frank Boreham was a well known preacher who served in England, Australia, and New Zealand. He published dozens of books and thousands of editorials during his lifetime, with no sign of slowing down, even up until his death at age 88. He wrote with a distinctive style, seeming to be able to draw a spiritual lesson out of any conceivable topic.

Taking his cue from the imagination of a child, Boreham compares a rainbow to a reel of fabric, which can be unrolled as often as you require a new length. Inviting us into this image, he offers each essay in this collection as if it were a new length of rainbow that he is presenting to us. -Summary by Devorah Allen

If the role of DPL is open, I'd be glad to take it! If you're doing it or someone is in the wings, that's alright too.

And since the manse is so popular, I'd like to read Section 18, if that's okay.

And now that we have a DPL and a couple of claims, no reason to stick around here. Let's go to Readers Wanted!

Welcome! I've assigned you that chapter. How would you like your name displayed in the catalogue? You can use your real name, your forum name, or some other pseudonym.

Just so you know, it's generally preferable to wait until your claim is acknowledged and confirmed before you go ahead and record the section you requested. It's not a hard and fast rule, but it can save a lot of wasted time and effort, in the case of unclear or missing communication. No harm done, in this case. Go ahead and upload your file, following the instructions in the first post of this thread, and post the link along with the run time. I'll put it in our MW (Magic Window), and then Larry (silverquill) will listen to it and give you feedback.

I won't know if it's uploaded correctly until you post the link that the uploader gave you, just the same way that you posted the link to your one-minute test. If you have already closed the uploader and don't have the link anymore, you can just upload it again to get another link. Then copy that link and post it here.

Okay, Mari, I've got your file downloaded, and the specs look good.
Internet was sketchy last night and I don't think the note I posted even went through.

Anyway, back on the road today, but I should be able to get to this tonight.
