Ahinsa -
There is another missed edit in this chapter.
At ~15:21 you say "'Seek - seek,' Franklin said again. 'Seek - seek,' Franklin said again." Please remove one of those.

You also need to adjust the silences at the very beginning and end of the chapter. There should not be any more than 1 second before you speak at the start, so please trim a bit off the beginning - perhaps 1/4 second less. The silence at the end should be at least 5 seconds (but never ever more than 10); you will need to add about 1 second of silence to the end.
Hi Loon,

Updated and corrected Chapter 6 - https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/alleycatskitten_06_fuller_128kb.mp3

Corrected the missed edit
Removed Repeat of "Chapter 6" in the start
Silences in the start and end have been corrected.

cheers.

Hi Sunshine and a big welcome to LibriVox! :D I have assigned that section to you but before you record it, please make and upload a 1 minute test to be sure your recording set up is OK. Instructions can be found in our Wiki and in the first post of this project but Here is a video that may help too: How to Make your 1 minute test.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlaRY_-bcfs and then How to Upload your 1 minute test [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_8Rdrx4COs]How to Upload your 1 minute test[/url]

I also recommend Getting To Know our Forums Getting To Know Our Forums

We just want to check out your technical specs. Don't forget to post the link either in this thread or in our Post Your 1-Minute Test Recording Here forum. And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you.

Sunshine, I'll also welcome you to LibriVox. As an admin, Phil might be able to find your test, but as you can imagine, if everyone uploaded with the file name 'test.mp3' they would all be overwriting the mp3 and only the most recently-uploaded one would remain. You might have to rename your test file to include your forum name - then it would be named test_sunshine2022.mp3. One way or another you should soon get a response from someone with the admin powers to add a new reader into the system. At that point you'll be on your way.

Edit: I said 'soon' and indeed Phil beat me to it! I'm looking forward to hearing you record lots and lots.

Yes, thanks Rich. Please do rename it and upload to our test forum. I forgot about them being overwritten.

Could I claim the last chapter left, #13: Torn-Nose?

This book's certainly been snapped up quickly!

Thanks,
Winnifred
