Hiya back yerself! Glad to have your story, will PL in the morning. If you run across any other dream related stories please share the titles. I'll put links in the first post, because for some reason this collection is going slowly, and it can't be that there aren't any more.

Well, I think it's one of those things where unless it's really well known, it's hard to know whether a story will involve a dream or not. The Whitehead one above just happened to be subtitled A Dream Story so it was a little more obvious. If I come across any I'll let you know though.

The Wonderful Thing is PL OK. Great reading as usual. Alas, I wouldn't want any of my dreams to come true! They are far too weird . . . like climbing up a laddar to a hole in a tree, peering in and finding a dark cavernous room lined with gaunt people, all crying because they can't figure how to get out, but refusing to even look out at the laddar I try to show them. I wake up frustrated, wanting to help but refusing to go in and grab them by the hand lest I get caught in the snare myself. URRRGGG!

Sorry Bill, I can't make head or tail out of this post, so I don't feel confident listing them as suggestions. Is "A Collection of Stories" 8 minutes long? Are all the stories in the collection about dreams? Are you sure Poor Ole Bill is about dreams? And those last two titles have no link. So I'm confused.

Sure! Here's another dream, at https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/dreams3_mydream_rossetti_wa_128kb.mp3 (3:44).

This one's a poem rather than a story.

My Dream

Would this story, “Perchance to Dream,” be considered public domain in the US? It seems to have been published in 1954 but it's on Project Gutenberg, where it includes this note: "[Transcriber Note: This etext was produced from IF Worlds of Science Fiction May 1954. Extensive research did not uncover any evidence that the U.S. copyright on this publication was renewed.]"

https://www.gutenberg.org/files/32859/32859-h/32859-h.htm

Thanks,
Winnifred
