Thank you again! Here is attempt 3: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test3_kaleiilima.mp3philchenevert wrote: ↑August 7th, 2022, 9:20 pmOk, the bit rate is fine now but your volume has increased too much overshooting the mark, coming in at 96 decibels. We aim at 89 dB. Also, you have a lot of 'plosives, popping sounds when you say a word beginning with P. If you listen to the track they are easy to hear. What I want you to do now is move the microphone a bit to the side while you record, letting your breath go past the mic instead of directly into it. Make another test using this technique; then before you export it,select the entire trac, and run Effect > Loudness Normalization at -19 luffs. (this video shows you how https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSKR55RDVpk&list=PLD623ECF357234509&index=46&t=8s) Export it as TEST 3, and send it in. Let's get you closer to 89 dB.Thank you for the guidance Phil! Check out my test 2 here:

Mahalo nui!
I didnʻt apply any effects as it appeared to stay within the 0.5 range. When I applied the Loudness Normalization effect, it reduced the wavelength (at least visually).
Thank you for your help!!

Better, the overall volume has come down to 93.5 dB but that is still too loud. When you apply the Loudness Normalization it will indeed drop the waveform. Or if your overall volume is low, it will make it bigger but don't worry it knows what it is doing. So just take your test 3 and apply the Loudness Normalization to the entire track at -19, and export it. I promise it will be right around 89 decibls. Name this one TEST 4 .Thank you again! As a bonus for being such a nice person, here is a video on the Checker program we use here to check specifications including volume. You can check out your own recordings to reassure yourself. https://youtu.be/QKVOYsaDoRo
