Thank you!
I've put this in the MW so you will have a report soon.

You still haven't told me how you want to be credited in the LV catalog!
So, for now you are in just under your forum name. So, if you want something different, please let me know.

You did a good job with the recording. My only comment concerns the volume. It is too high. Please amplify by about -8 dB and resubmit.

Thought I'd check this since I'm here.
Seems to be the same file, measuring 98.3 decibels. You should also be able to see this on the extreme waveform in your Audacity frame.

Our target is 89 dBs with an acceptable range of 86-92 dBs

Since Audacity, for all of its other features, does give a readout in decibels, you can use a little program written specifically for LibriVox that will do that as well as checking other LV specs. Here is the link: Checker https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker

For this file you can use the Amplification function under the Effects menu in Audacity. I would set it at -9 which will get it close to our target.

You should, however, make some adjustments to your recording set up so that your raw recording is within the desired range. You probably need to back down on your input gain, and maybe adjust the distance from the microphone. Experiment with you settings until you get something that works for you.

Thanks for your contribution!

I would be glad to have you record this for us!

Could you please let me know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog? This can be your real name, pseudonym, or any nickname you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work.
