JimLawter wrote: May 17th, 2022, 4:32 pm My recording of 142 "Simeli Mountain" is ready to check. I believe there is a typo in the text where instead of "Then he went inside ..." it reads "The he went inside." So I recorded, per instructions, exactly as it is in the text, sort of using a silent "n" to indicate the correct word. It's at 1:54. I hope it's a good solution.

Here's my attempt at story 131, "Fair Katrinelje and Pif-Paf-Poltrie." I hope the names are pronounced well enough!

Thank you!

Thank you for this. There are just a couple of PL notes:

00:28 - repeated words. I hear "by Brothers Grimm, The True Sweethearts. Story 186, The True Sweethearts". It should simply be "by Brothers Grimm, The True Sweethearts. "
6:19 - I hear "but she mediated something new." Text says "but she meditated something new"

Thank you for this. Just 2 notes:

The volume is too high - 92.3dB. Please lower the volume by about 3 dB, so that it is close to 89dB.
6:31 - I hear "back to him with the castle", text says "back with him to the castle"
Good catch. Here is the updated version.

This is PL OK. You were consistent with your pronunciations throughout, which I think is the most important thing here. I have a suspicion that there were some lovely puns in the original German (milch = milk, so the farmer's wife is "milk cow") but none of them came through in the written translation :(

Fred.
Hi Fred, very nicely read. There is just one item from PLing this section

2:12 missing line "answered she, “rich folk’s children have no need to do such things, but with the peasant folk ",
thanks for that...

arghh different day, different voice. I think I matched up the insert ok.

Aldo fixed the file name from the original submission (didn't have _grimm at the end on this one.)
