I did enjoy the story, although I found it difficult to record and edit because it is longer. I saw your video about inserting words in a recording, do you have a video on normalizing the sound of the inserted part? Any tips on recording longer videos will help.

Thank you!
Yeah, those long sections can be hard to edit. One thing that I always do, no matter how long a section is, is start at the beginning and slowly listen to it, correcting mistakes as I go along, being sure that it is OK before moving to the next section. After saving it of course. This way only one pass is required. It may take me six or seven editing sessions over as many days if it is a long section, but I can just pick up where I left off knowing that the previous part is done. And saved! be sure to save after fixing something and being happy with it. I don't have a video on normalizing the sound of an inserted part (yet); I assume you mean making the new phrase match the volume of those preceeding and following, right? I just listen to the sentence and if what I've stuck in seems too soft or loud I just adjust that part. Plus of course you can see the wave forms on the track and if it is much bigger or smaller then I adjust ie.
I did just make a video yesterday on how I get my volume on every track to 89 decibels with one click. https://studio.youtube.com/video/aSKR55RDVpk/edit. It is using the Loudness Normalization effect.

Tips on recording longer sections? Sure. Just do them in like any other section. I open the track, record until I decide to stop, say 4 minutes, save the .aup file and go do something else. Then whenever I'm ready, open the track and pick up where I left off. Whether the section is 2 minutes long or 58 minutes long that is my approach. Let me know if that is confusing.

If I may make a suggestion for future recordings, what I do is edit everything in Audacity and then save the project before normalizing and exporting it. That way I can return to the project and make further edits with new raw audio clips, save the project again at that point, and then normalize and export the entire “new” recording.
Thanks for the tip Jim!

Very nicely read.
The only issue is with the filename - it should include the author's name and thus be householdtalesbybrothersgrimm_061_grimm_128kb
OK great. Do I need to change filename and re-upload then, even though the content is fine? Or can someone just fix filename on the server? I'm happy to re-upload, just don't want to cause confusion.

You do not need to change the file name or upload them again. I can fix them in validiation but please do include the author name it in any future uploads, it saves me time later on.

My recording of 142 "Simeli Mountain" is ready to check. I believe there is a typo in the text where instead of "Then he went inside ..." it reads "The he went inside." So I recorded, per instructions, exactly as it is in the text, sort of using a silent "n" to indicate the correct word. It's at 1:54. I hope it's a good solution.

You are probably right, it is a typo. But you did the right thing reading it as is. Sometimes people will post a question about an obvious typo and get the opinion of the BC and/or MC but most times you can use your best judgment. The things we don't ever change are things from another age that are politically incorrect now. We aim at 99 % accuracy by the way. The proof listener will let you know if that is OK.
