Story 202 is PL OK.
There is a slight background hiss each time you speak, but no background noise at all when you don't speak. I don't know what might cause this, but it is not obtrusive enough to be an issue.

Hi Lovetoread and a big welcome to LibriVox! :D I have assigned that section to you but before you record it, please make and upload a 1 minute test to be sure your recording set up is OK. Instructions can be found in our Wiki and in the first post of this project but Here is a video that may help too: How to Make your 1 minute test.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlaRY_-bcfs and then How to Upload your 1 minute test [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_8Rdrx4COs]How to Upload your 1 minute test[/url]

I also recommend Getting To Know our Forums Getting To Know Our Forums

We just want to check out your technical specs. Don't forget to post the link either in this thread or in our Post Your 1-Minute Test Recording Here forum. And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you.

Attempt number 2! I tried to clean up the noise. Did it make a difference? Otherwise I will re do. My room is also very echo-y.
Much improved! This is PL OK now.
Thank you!!

Thanks for the feedback Krista. Perhaps the extra noise cancellation is accentuating the "ss" sounds, which could explain the hissing only while speaking? It may also be an isolated issue unique to the particular recording session... just speculating. Thank you again for your critiques, I really appreciate them. Be of good cheer.

I may be german, but I speak quite fluently English (perhaps with a little accent  ) and want to read those tales:

162 The Wise Servant
163 The Glass Coffin
--------
165 The Griffin
166 Strong Hans

Edit: for a first "test of my sufficient english" :D , I uploaded the "The Wise Servant" already, if that´s ok.

Jonathan you are assigned those four stories. Your test has received the official OK and we look forward to your recordings. I will put your recording of TheWise Servant into the magic window for proof listening. And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you. :D
