Greetings -

Welcome to LibriVox, leof. As I warn many new readers, be forewarned that LV can become seriously addictive. :-)

Just one note of concern for Chapters 7 and 14:

Chapter 7:

TIME: 03:28 TEXT: "When the day was over, four bright quarters lay snugly in the apple bank." This sentence is omitted in the reading.

Otherwise, nicely read. Looking forward to more from you.

Hi Marissa. I am not sure what you are saying in this message. Did you proof listen to this or are you claiming a section? We have a DPL for this project but please let me know your intent. Thank you.

Proof listening. These are the notes a PL must take. You do not have to accept it as I just am doing this as a learning experience. But the recording was correct.

Ah, I see, Well thank you Marissa and you seem to have done a good job of proof listening. I suggest you put those skills to good use and do it for real since you seem to be ready. Look for a project with a tilde ~in front of the title which means they are looking for a DPL (dedicated proof listener). Feel free to practice as much as you want of course and welcome!!!

Greetings -

Oncetwain, thanks for joining the LibriVox adventure with us. We hope you will stick with us for a long time.

Chapter 6 has been marked PL OK in the MW,

A couple of notes:

You might try getting a bit closer to the mike as your voice was a little soft at times.

You had a couple of short pauses during the reading that were close to needing editing. When you listen to your recording, make sure that you do not have any pauses or silent periods over 1.5-2.0 seconds long.

Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Hi! I would like to claim Sections 8 and 16 if they're still available. I just uploaded my first recording for another project; boy, was that a long chapter! I probably should have started with something like this first lol.

Sure, those two are yours. And yep, we highly recommend starting with something a bit easier to read but more imporrtantly to edit! :D
EDIT: I entered your forum name as your catalog name, how you will appear in the catalog. Would you like a different one?

Well, it is obvious that dckabir is having fun reading these chapters. Chapter 13 is another well-done and PL OK offering.
