Would Dateline: Mars work for this collection? If so, I would like to go for it. It should be just short enough to fit into an hour, especially with how fast I talk

This would probably be better in the science fiction collection.ajhuguelet wrote: ↑November 28th, 2021, 8:06 pm Would Dateline: Mars work for this collection? If so, I would like to go for it. It should be just short enough to fit into an hour, especially with how fast I talk

I did some recordings for LibriVox about 10 years ago, and I would very much like to get back into it. If you'd like a new test recording, I don't mind doing that.
I've found three short stories by Dick Purcell that don't look like they've ever been recorded here. They're old science fiction, from one of the pulp magazines.

"Next Stop, Nowhere!" "Gunnison's Bonanza" and "John Harper's Insight"
Would they fit here?

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything, it's too late to stop reading it.

Welcome back! We would recommend a new test recording… things might have moved on in the last 10 years purely optional though.DerekP wrote: ↑November 29th, 2021, 10:18 am I did some recordings for LibriVox about 10 years ago, and I would very much like to get back into it. As for the stories… would they better be suited to the science fiction collection? That being said, it doesn’t look as if one is running at the moment
So, I suppose I would accept them here … but I am asking readers to restrict themselves to 2 stories.

Looks like there is no sci-fi collection running at the moment, so I will accept it here.Lynnet wrote: ↑November 28th, 2021, 8:34 pmThis would probably be better in the science fiction collection.ajhuguelet wrote: ↑November 28th, 2021, 8:06 pm Would Dateline: Mars work for this collection? If you would, please put me in to read "John Harper's Insight."
It's very short, and it leans more toward general fiction than sci-fi.
It'll be a good "getting back into the swing of things" piece for me.

No need to proclaim. I’ll add you to the MW when you submit the file.DerekP wrote: ↑November 29th, 2021, 11:19 am If you would, please put me in to read "John Harper's Insight."
