https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/hauntedhomes_144_ingram_128kb.mp3 (6:51)
This section has a few more chilling details than my last one... blood of a murdered wife that keeps surfacing in hearth stones, and a ghost "devoid of eyes." Entertaining read!
 creepiness overload, especially the story with the eye-less woman !!! Stuff from Hollywood shockers. But I agree, an interesting collection of anecdotes. I visited Bath many years ago...luckily I seem to have picked a hotel without ghosts.

PL ok, thank you, Janice !

Section 107 - Cumnor Hall

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/hauntedhomes_107_ingram_128kb.mp3
7.14

Cumnor village is 3 miles west of where I live. The medieval Cumnor Hall was demolished in 1810 (some say in order to get rid of the ghost) and no traces remain. I know the village as it is the location of one of my favourite country pub/restaurants

hehe, good pubs are important to have in the area  Interesting that they would get rid of the ghost by demolishing the house, one would think the ghost stays faithful to the spot still.

Excellently narrated again, Alan, thanks ! PL ok

Hi Sonia,
Here is section 15 - Cheshunt

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/hauntedhomes_015_ingram_128kb.mp3

Time - 9:24

I was surprised the family and their servants managed to stay for three years in the house with so many eery things happening regularly.

I sat down today to do one recording but one led to another and somehow managed to finish up all my claimed sections

Hi, Can I claim section 71 please? I've already recorded it but its fine if the section is already assigned.
The last section I claimed I had to pull out as my computer broke so I wanted to make sure I could do the section on my new
computer before claiming. Hope that's ok?

 yes I am rather often surprised at how cool the people in these stories are handling the apparitions. They must have had a different approach to the supernatural than we nowadays.

Three excellent stories, Kriti and you have narrated them very well and error-free. I can mark all of them PL ok right away. Thank you so much.

If I had to say anything, you may want to watch out for your volume. In some parts of the recordings, the sound becomes a bit more muffled and the volume drops. Could it be that you are turning your head away from the microphone sometimes ? :hmm: It's still audible but try not to get any lower in volume, otherwise it may be too hard to understand. Nothing to change for these sections though. Just a suggestion for future sections. :)

hello Sue and thank you for your interest in this project. And your narrative voice for this story was so hauntingly mysterious that it really gave me goosebumps. A very entertaining section and totally PL ok.

As to the claims...it is always recommendable to wait until the claim is acknowledged. The reason for this is that we can only take one recording per section, obviously, and if two or more people simply go ahead and record, then only one will get taken and the rest did the work for nothing. :(

In your case, the section was not claimed by anybody else, so it wasn't a problem. But it's always safer to wait until it's registered to your name to avoid disappointment. ;)

One final thing, please be careful with the filename. The "mp3" is not part of the name, it's the format you need to convert the file into. I marked the correct filename in blue in the first post, you can see the "mp3" is not included. No need to reupload this time. As there are no other errors, I can correct the filename in my folder later on. I will make a note in the MW so I won't forget.

Thanks

Thanks Sonia,
I do know to claim first and I will from now on, its just I didn't want to claim and not be able to do it. It was only a short one so If it was gone I was happy to practice.

Can I claim 72 please?

Thanks
